From an early stage, Mohtaram Shujauddin Shaikh (May Allah protect him) maintained a consistent engagement with the lectures and scholarly discourses of distinguished religious scholars and intellectuals. In particular, from 1991 onward, he began attending and listening attentively to the lectures and Qur’anic expositions of Dr. Israr Ahmad (may Allah’s mercy be on him), whose message he recognized as resonating deeply with his inner conviction. In 1998, he formally joined Tanzeem-e-Islami as a Rafiq (member). started listening to the lectures and Qur’anic expositions of Late Dr. Israr Ahmed (RAA) since 1991. In 1998 he joined Tanzeem-e-Islami as a formal member (rafiq).

Upon completing his professional training in Chartered Accountancy, Mohtaram Shujauddin Shaikh (May Allah protect him) chose not to pursue it as a means of livelihood. Rather, by the special grace and divine enablement of Allah (the Exalted), he dedicated his life to the lofty mission of the supremacy of Islam. Consequently, in 2002, he commenced his responsibilities at the Qur’an Academy, DHA Karachi, where he remained a faculty member for several years and subsequently served as Director Academic until the beginning of August 2020.
Since 2001, he has been delivering Qur’anic lectures and instructional discourses through various satellite television channels and digital media platforms, a responsibility that he continues to perform to this day. By the special mercy and favor of Allah (the Exalted), from 2009 to 2020, Mohtaram Shujauddin Shaikh (May Allah protect him), in his capacity as Program Director at “The Ilm Foundation”, supervised the development of a comprehensive Qur’anic curriculum designed for students in mainstream educational institutions. This curriculum encompasses the complete translation and exegesis of the Qur’an. Following an extensive review, it received unanimous endorsement from a committee established by the Federal Government of Pakistan, comprising distinguished Ulema (religious scholars) representing all schools of religious thought. Subsequently, it was formally approved by the federal government, which directed its implementation in educational institutions.
When the former Ameer of Tanzeem-e-Islami, Hafiz Aakif Saeed (May Allah protect him), resolved to step down from the Imarat (leadership) of Tanzeem-e-Islami, owing to severe illness, he sought the counsel of the Markazi Shura (Central Consultative Committee) of Tanzeem-e-Islami to obtain an opinion regarding the appointment of the next Ameer. Accordingly, on 8 August 2020, he convened a meeting of the Markazi Shura with the sole agenda of proposing the next Ameer of Tanzeem-e-Islami. After receiving the opinion of the Markazi Shura, Hafiz Aakif Saeed (May Allah protect him), appointed Mohtaram Shujauddin Shaikh (May Allah protect him) as the new Ameer of Tanzeem-e-Islami, at which point Hafiz Aakif Saeed (May Allah protect him) formally relinquished his responsibility as the Ameer of Tanzeem-e-Islami.
We supplicate that Allah (the Exalted) envelop Mohtaram Shujauddin Shaikh (May Allah protect him) in His special mercy, guidance, protection, and support, enabling him to discharge this profoundly significant Deeni responsibility with distinction; to strive for his own eternal success and that of the Rufaqa (members) of Tanzeem-e-Islami; and to lead, with steadfast resolve and zeal, the struggle for the establishment of the Islamic System of Collective Justice (Khilafah) in Pakistan. May Allah Almighty remain his Protector and Helper. Ameen!
