On March 8, 2010. A suicide bomber attacked Intelligence Agency
office adjacent to Quran Academy 36-K, Model Town. About 800 kg of
TNT used in this blast which destroyed the Intelligence Agency
office. This blast was so loud that it was heard 15 kms away. About
18 people were killed due to this blast. Buildings within 2 km
radius were damaged.
Quran Academy, the office and residence of Dr. Israr Ahmad Saheb
was badly hit by the blast. Dr. Israr Ahmad Saheb was in his room
which is about 50 meters from the bomb blast area. Alhamdulillah !
Every one in Quran Academy was saved by Allah SWT except some minor
injuries.
The building of Quran Academy was hit and damaged. Following are
